My segment from our Montana Journal documentary "Patrolling the Big Sky". The intro was shot and edited by another student as a transition from his segment to mine, and then mine starts right afterward (the first interview shot). The documentary was approximately a half an hour long, and we had a full movie premiere in a theater on the University of Montana campus along with a premiere on Montana PBS three days afterward. My partner and I shot and edited all shots in our segment, but the voiceover was done by a professional voice at Montana PBS. The documentary in its entirety won 2nd place in Region 10 (Pacific Northwest) at the 2011 Society of Professional Journalists Awards Ceremony for Television In-Depth Reporting.
